Clutch bag- repurposed with silk
designed and made in the Scotland by Julia Cunningham

A beautiful unique Clutch bag in this quite amazing silk patchwork fabric with applique. This fabric was once a Caroline Charles jacket and has been repurposed into a clutch bag. This is one of two bags made from the jacket so really is special.

This bag has a large flap which has been cut on the bias and is lined in a funky turquoise fabric with loads of colour through it. This fabric was reclaimed from a Mill that was closing down in Galashiels many years ago. This fabric is no longer produced. To finish the bag I have added a large vintage button from my vast collection that has a textured wave pattern that reflects the applique waves in the Caroline Charles jacket fabric.
It is full lined in grey with an internal zipped pocket for valuables.

The bag is large and flat so there is plenty room to carry important documents etc.
